Youth & Yore is an intergenerational storytelling project that brings together voices and imaginations from the community to create a brand-new piece of family theatre. We invite those over 75 and those aged 8 - 10 to collaborate in a creative journey, exploring local tales, family stories, and beyond to develop family theatre that reflects the heart of the community.

This year-long process includes workshops, meet-ups, and trips, where participants share experiences and transform everyday moments into extraordinary stories. By combining the wisdom of older generations with the imagination of young people, we create something both rooted in history and full of possibility— what begins as an old family tale may end up in the Wild West or outer space!

After this year of development, we will create a brand new piece of family theatre for the town and community that created it. Participants can take part in any way that suits them—whether as storytellers, performers, writers, musicians, or simply by sharing their experiences.

This project is about creativity, connection, and giving every voice a chance to be heard.
